A Cartoon character i drew back in 2002 while in college not applying myself to my studies. Im taking the time and opportunity now to rework this piece digitally (not complete yetr except for his head). Using Illustrator to rework the line work ( I havent used illustrator since 2002 either...ugh) and Photoshop to color the piece.

This is the first piece i havent used my actual line work or edited the original line work. I am trying to get away from black line work and try to mesh my lines with the color of the character ... would like feedback if possible on what you see so far as it will help me with the final outcome of the whole piece. Thanks

Geat caricature.
I think it looks great as is.

As far as your requset for comments.

If you want to further explore defining shapes without the use of lines, maybe try finding a darker tone and do as you did with the highlights but on the reverse (.E.G.~ A darker brown to go on the bottom of the nose...etc..)
